Introducing the Career Development Hub

Creating a new destination for employees to explore opportunities, build skills, and grow their careers at USC

To support employee growth, internal mobility, and long-term career development at USC, the Career Development Hub went live within the Employee Gateway on May 15, 2026. Created in response to employee feedback requesting more accessible and actionable career development resources, the Hub brings together tools, learning resources, and workshops that help employees explore career possibilities, build skills, and take meaningful steps toward their professional goals.

The site is organized around three key areas of career development:

Know Yourself: Resources that help employees better understand their strengths, values, interests, and transferable skills through self-assessments and guided reflection activities.

Career Exploration: Tools and resources that support learning, networking, mentoring, coaching, and career mobility, helping employees explore opportunities and expand their professional capabilities.

Chart Your Course: Practical guidance for setting goals, documenting accomplishments, preparing resumes and LinkedIn profiles, strengthening interview skills, and planning future career growth.

In addition to these resources, the hub features curated books, podcasts, TrojanLearn learning playlists, career workshops, and a calendar of upcoming development opportunities designed to support employees at every stage of their career journey.

The launch of the Career Development Hub represents an important milestone in USC’s ongoing commitment to developing and retaining talent. By creating a centralized, self-service destination for career development, the university is making it easier for employees to take ownership of their growth, explore opportunities across USC, and build meaningful careers within the Trojan community.
